How we are handling the Covid-19 situation?

We are following a 5-pronged approach:

1) Mask usage: All staff members have been provided with two masks each and have been strictly instructed to wash their masks on a daily basis. 

2) Hand-Sanitizer usage: We have placed hand sanitizers at the entry point of the hostel and at the entry point of the kitchen cum dining area. All the students and staff members have been instructed to use the same whenever they are entering the hostel or the dining area. 

3) Temperature-Check: Any person coming from outside the premises will have their body-temperature checked by the temperature gun and allowed only when their body temperatures are within the acceptable temperature range

4) Cleanliness in rooms: The entire hostel premises is also cleaned every day and a deep-cleaning of every student room is done once every week.

We have implemented a strict policy of “no-clothes-outside-cupboard” in the student rooms. The virus stays on the clothes for 30 hours – so the students can either keep their clothes in a closed area like a cupboard or wash their clothes and hang it on the terrace (under direct sunlight). 

5) Travel restrictions in place: All essential services staff-members are staying back at the hostel and non-essential members are working from home. Any staff resuming duty at the organisation premises and has a travel history is being asked to go for a 14-day home quarantine

6) Immunity improvement: We are providing immunity boosting supplements and beverages to all students and staff

Food Safety

1) All our food items are procured from long-standing businesses of good reputation. We make healthy and nutritious food made by in-house cooks who have been selected through a very stringent process.

2) We never compromise on the quality of the products used and the students and the staff members consume the same food that is made on a daily basis. 

3) We also get the water storage tanks cleaned regularly.

Medical backup

1) We have a first-aid box on the premises. 

2) We also have a list of doctors and medical centres that are within a 2-km radius. Since we are centrally located, we are blessed to have easy access to medical facilities.

Security

1) The hostel premises is manned by a security person 24 X 7 and all days of the year

2) We also have biometric-system secured doors for access to the hostel premises
