Launched college club &. developed a rocket

Vishwa VJTI, the Astronomy and Space-Sciences club of VJTI, was launched in April ‘22. This launch was accompanied by a lecture on the basics of Rocket Science which was taken by Shivashish. It was followed by a quiz on Space science and Astronomy and the evening ended with the launch of a model rocket at the football ground of VJTI.

Shivashish was in charge of developing the rocket. The launch was an achievement for VJTI as they had never had any rocketry done on the campus till then. The engine selected for the rocket was the C6-4 solid-state engine. The weight of the complete rocket was a mere 110 gm due to the 3D printing of various components. The rocket was designed on OpenRocket and Solidworks and later fabricated at Autolab in VJTI. The only failure was the recovery system, which he wants to improve in his next launch.

Shivashish and his club, are planning to take part in the Indian Rover Challenge. Simultaneously, they are aiming for the European rover challenge. Satellite is also being discussed and developed for competition purposes as well as research.

Runners-up at IIT Madras event

Shivashish also won the 2nd prize in an inter-college CAD competition, held by IIT Madras.

Wamil and his MVBS journey

“I am writing this to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support and encouragement that I have received from all of you. Being a student from a small city, I was filled with ambitions and aspirations to achieve more in life, and being a part of the MVBS community has played a pivotal role in shaping my future.

The constant support and guidance that I received from the members of this esteemed organization have been invaluable. I have learned a great deal from my fellow residents and the dedicated staff, and I am eternally grateful for the opportunities that I have been given to grow and develop as an individual.

I have a deep passion for finance, which led me to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Financial Markets in Mumbai. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I made it a priority to gain hands-on experience in the industry, as well as stay informed of the latest developments. This led me to enrol in a comprehensive 2-year program at the Bombay Stock Exchange, where I had the opportunity to study investments, financial markets, and banking in depth. I was also an active participant in various inter-college competitions and events, which allowed me to refine my skills and develop my knowledge.

The Trust’s encouragement has pushed me to strive for excellence, and I am proud to say that I have been able to achieve academic success through the scholarships that were provided to me during my undergraduate studies.

My academic performance was outstanding, with a grade point average of 9.68, which instilled in me a desire to continue my education at an even higher level. When I expressed my desire to pursue higher education abroad, the MVBS family supported me financially and emotionally. I took the GMAT and IELTS exams and was thrilled to be accepted and I am now proudly completing my Master of Finance degree at McMaster University in Canada [Class of 2024].

I am now in my second semester, and I have found that my studies have only intensified my passion for finance. In particular, I have developed a strong interest in Asset Management and I am confident that this is the career path I wish to pursue upon graduation.

I would also like to mention that I am currently serving as the Vice President of Internal Communications at the DeGroote Graduate Finance Club, and I attribute my leadership skills and success to the training and guidance that I received from the MVBS family.

I understand that the field of finance is constantly evolving and is becoming increasingly complex, which is why I am determined to continue expanding my knowledge and expertise. I believe that my educational background, combined with my passion for finance and my drive to succeed, will make me a valuable asset to any organization in this industry. I am eager to start my career and make a positive impact in the world of finance.

In conclusion, I cannot express enough how thankful I am for the support and opportunities that I have received from the MVBS family. Your encouragement and belief in me have been instrumental in my growth and success, and I look forward to the future with confidence and a determination to give back to society in any way I can.
Thank you again for everything!” – Wamil

Wamil was with us as a student from 2019 to 2021 and is currently an Alumni of the MVBS family.
